Behind the lens: what we calculate
Separate a numerical sky position from the meaning we choose to explore.
The daily reference
The Daily Lens uses geocentric positions calculated with Astronomy Engine at 12:00 UTC for the selected day. Lunar longitude supplies the tropical sign and degree; the Sun–Moon angle supplies the phase category.
What a daily position leaves out
This common reference is not your local sky at this moment or a personalised birth chart. Birth-chart houses require location and time. Missing birth time cannot be repaired by presenting noon as a measured fact.
Numbers and interpretation
A coordinate can be checked against a calculation. A reflective text is an editorial interpretation, not a measured personality trait or a guaranteed event. Use the former to locate the sky and the latter to examine a question.
Sources & further reading
Historical evidence, astronomical observation and symbolic interpretation are different kinds of knowledge. We keep their boundaries visible.
